Yep, it's me. I haven't forgot about my blog. I have just been so un-inspired to write. For anyone who doesn't know I've been dealing with dental problems all my life. The past few months have been hell as it got really bad. It has been so stressful dealing with the pain and trying to find the money to have the work done that I just went into a full shut down mode. I stopped blogging and well pretty much stopped doing everything I loved. But I had some major dental work done on September 1 and I feel amazing!!! It was a rough couple of weeks and I'm still not completely done, but it's a great start!!
So here I am!!! And I ready to blog and get back to wedding planning. I have several craft projects going on which I intend on getting those posted up here. So stay tuned...there's more to come!!!

Bloggity,blog,blog
I really have so much to blog about but I always manage to forget by the time I get home. So the blog may get flooded some days because I'm make a list on my phone during the day so I can remember lol.
So today I think I'll blog about my Save-the-dates. If you don't already know I am hand-making our save the dates and well I must say they are pretty much the coolest thing EVER!!! I actually found almost all the supplies at Big Lots for waaaayyyyy less then it would have cost at a craft store. I found the most amazing card stock to use for the front piece and I also got the most perfect brads that match for super duper cheap. SCORE!!!!
So the design is called the Viewfinder and it's based off the red plastic viewfinders with the little circles w/pictures we had as kids. I'm pretty sure I still have mine somewhere lol. It's actually fairly simple to make minus all the measuring (oh and cutting circles REALLY sucks!!). At least we(my mom and I) got all the big circles cut already. (Thank you bunches mummy!!! xoxo)
I also really think this is why I can't find an invitation because nothing is gonna be comparable to the awesomeness of the save the dates. As much fun as it's going to be/has been making them, it has made me decide to order invitations printed and ready to mail. DIY projects take A LOT of time and patience. although I have found that crafting is very stress relieving lol. (I even bought a glue gun. Watch out!!) We still have to get our engagement photos done but we're going to get those done soon.
Oh and I just have to add it's so exciting to see an actual date on paper! It just makes it even more official lol, well at least I think so...

We got ourselves a wedding....
I have so much to talk about since I haven't had time to really blog since our trip to South Carolina. First off We OFFICIALLY have a date!!!!! Wahoo!!!!!! I'm so excited!!!! It's Saturday, April 21, 2012. It's nice to really be able to tell people an actual date.
So a little more about the venue. What can I say, it's absolutely beautiful! We will be having both the wedding and the reception there. There is a full caterer's kitchen, when I say full I mean FULL. My jaw dropped when I saw the kitchen area. It's huge with everything you would ever need. There is building that the girl's use to get ready (with our own private entrance). The boy's have their own Man Cave room to hang out in before the wedding. It even has a fully functional outhouse!!!! Don't worry it has indoor plumbing too! The options some many options for the actual wedding. Almost to many to decide between!!

I have more pictures but I having some issues loading them. I'll try to get those up later on. The place has endless options. It also has a vintage metal playground area, which makes me super excited! For photos that is, I would be kinda afraid to play on some of it lol.
I also found our photographer! HOORAY! The 2 major things are secured with deposits. That makes me so less stressed!!! Anyway I met this guy at the Wedding Festival we went to. His booth was nothing fancy and it didn't need to be. His photos spoke for themselves. He's a really young guy that has the ability of a seasoned photographer. His name is Marshall and he seems like a goofy guy which is one of the things we wanted in a photographer.
Check out his website http://marshallgrahamphoto.com/index2.php#/home/
I also got the dress. It was not the I originally posted about last blog but it is on my blog...somewhere. Mwahahaha!!! I'll tell you this much...It's pink and white. I know people everywhere (well at least the one's reading this are going...a pink dress?) My answer: have you seen my shoes? lol. It's a light pink but it stands out. It fits me and my personality to a T. I CANNOT WAIT to wear it! (Someone will have to remind me that when I start bitching about it after a few hours lol) I certainly CANNOT wait to see Ryan when he sees me for the first time. (I don't think I'm gonna make it through without crying lol) It makes me feel like pretty, pretty princess.
I have been working on the brooch bouquets. My parents has been snagging them for me at the flea market. I picked up a few at the flea market when we were up there. But I have learned that I can pretty much make anything I want into a brooch. (This whole wedding thing has made me pretty crafty. And I LOVE it) Here is a trial run I started with what I have:

Wedding planning update
As most everyone knows we are in Greenville looking at venues. We went to one Sunday, one Monday and three Tuesday. The one on Sunday was kind of a last minute entry. It's called the Pond House and it was out in the middle of nowhere. It was really pretty but there were some things that we just didn't like. Monday we went to TimbeRock(see previous blog entry) and we ABSOLUTELY fell in love. The pictures I posted don't even come close to the real beauty of the facility. It is so beautiful and such a nice little setting. It has multiple ceremony area options and multiple reception areas too. The bride and groom both have separate area to hang out at prior to the wedding (which we thought was pretty cool).
On Tuesday we went to look at the Greer City Park and we were NOT impressed with it. I mean yes it was so beautiful but its very open to the public and we didn't really feel like we could have the privacy that we want for our big day. Not to mention the guy I originally emailed failed to mention ALL the extra fees and what not when he emailed me. We really didn't a good feeling from it. We then headed up to a place called Song Hill Reserve in Landrum. It was really, really, really out in the middle of NOWHERE!!! The people that showed it were really awesome people and it was pretty but again we didn't really get good vibes from the venue itself. The last place we went to was The Little Yellow House in Landrum(which was also previously mentioned in my blog) We could not look inside the house because someone was renting it this week but after looking at the outside area it was quickly ruled out.
Sooooooo the point of the whole story is that we have decided that TimbeRock is the place for us. I cannot wait until everyone gets to see the place. We definitely know that it the place that we want to begin our journey as husband and wife and can't wait to share the day with our family and friends.
On a side note, I also got to try on bridal gowns for the first time today. My mom and I went to David's Bridal in Columbia just so I could try on the Vera Wang dress that I love (also in a previous blog posting) and let me say it was WELL worth the drive lol. They say that the first dress you try on is usually "the one" Well that just might be true. I made it through without crying but it was close a few times, lol. I still have another appointment on Friday at another bridal shop. Even though I'm in love with the dress I tried on today, I still have to give the other dresses a chance to WOW me like this one did. We managed to sneak a few photos of me in the dress so at least I can compare others to it and don't have to rely on memory alone.

The great "what if" stampede
So last night I'm laying there trying to go to sleep and it all hits me. Next week we are going to SC to look at venues and I've been calm and collected so far, but I started stressing big time. I titled this the great "what if" stampede because that's what my brain felt like last night, it was just flooded with "what if's".
I mean what if we can't find the right place, what if it rains(I know I have a while to worry about that), what if it's perfect for the ceremony and not the reception or the other way around, what if, what if, what if.....
Ahhhhh..... I'm stressed to the max ( okay maybe not that much but I'm still stressing just the same) I guess the only thing I can do is sit back, take a deep breath and know that it'll all fall into place. At least I hope it does.

So I've been a bad blogger...again
My mom so nicely pointed out today that it had been awhile since I blogged soooo here I am...blogging. lol I guess I really haven't said much lately because I don't really have any obsessions lately. I'm having writer's wedding block. I look at stuff on the internet but I'm so sick of staring at the screen. I want to touch things and try on things. Lucky for me, we are flying to Greenville on June 5 to look at venues and for me to try on dresses(FINALLY). I am so freaking excited to be able to show my "look book" to my mom and my friends. For anyone that doesn't know I have spent countless hours murdering wedding magazines to make my own personal look book. I have DIY tips, dresses I love, wedding tips and ideas, you name it and it's more than likely in there. Ryan really does try to pretend to be interested but I know he really could care less about colors and decor and dresses. Ryan is only staying until June 9 and I'm staying until the 13 so I'll have a few extra days with just the girls. Hooray!!! So by the end of that week we should have an exact date set. (Also hooray!) That will mean I will have to get my butt in gear....
We have yet to have our engagement photos done, which I'm stressing over. I have my dress picked out(pictures to come later) but I have to find the right shoes. The biggest thing is I have to find an amazing photographer that isn't your average photographer. I really want them to be unique and something that really shows who we are as a couple. I also need to start scouting for places to have the photos taken. I'm sure the photographer would have some ideas for the location.
I suppose that's all for today. I'll be back soon to discuss bridesmaids dresses, music and photo-booth ideas.

Venue
My mom found this really beautiful farm that is set up for weddings. It is so,so pretty but it's a little bit on the pricey side. I think we are still going to look at it when we go up. It's a little cheaper on a Friday but I don't know about having a Friday wedding with so many out-of-towners.
