Our proposal story..

So I know you all are wondering how did he propose, well here's our proposal story...

We flew to Upstate New York on Christmas Eve to spend Christmas with his family.  On the way to his parent's house we drove past the shore of Lake Ontario and the waves were coming onto shore and basically freezing into big piles of ice. I thought it was very cool and wanted to go take pictures but he said we would come back another day and do it.

So Christmas comes and goes and I really was hoping to get a ring for Christmas but I didn't so I decided that this just wasn't the year, maybe next year. On Monday his mom asked me to go shopping on Tuesday. I say sure and ask Ryan if he was going. He says no which kinda made me a little bit not happy because I like to go shopping with him even if he hates it. Well he must have sensed that cause later he was told me that his mom wanted to have a girls day out. Well why did someone tell me that in the first place lol. We go shopping and Ryan goes out to (what I thought was his buddies house) but he is out picking out the ring. I was absolutely clueless.

The rest of the week goes by pretty normal, hanging out with his family and friends. One of the days we go out shopping to a place called Eastern Mountain Sports (pretty awesome outdoor store) He gets a pair of Native sunglasses. Well when we got home, he realizes the spare lens are not correct for the glasses so he says we'll go back in the next few days to exchange them. 


New Year's Eve morning his phone wakes me up. He doesn't answer, a few seconds later it beeps that he has a voice mail. I'm kinda dozing back off to sleep but he gets his phone and listens to the message. He gets up and then goes down stairs. He comes back a short while later and wakes me up to ask if I wanna go exchange his glasses and go down to the park to take pictures of the lake. I say sure and asked who called so early..he says it was a wrong number...(should have been my first clue but I just let it go) So we(well I) lolly-gag around the house til about 3 and then we finally decide to head over to E.M.S. to exchange his glasses. While we are there I find this very cool necklace and he buys it for me. We head back towards the park and I kid him about buying me the necklace. I told him that he was getting good at this jewelry thing since this is the second necklace he had bought me and said that he could skip straight to a ring since I don't wear bracelets. Of course it was a joke but little did I know he had my ring in his pocket. By this point it's about 4ish and I am starving. So I told him maybe we should just skip going to the park because I was getting so hungry. He said no, it won't take long to stop down by the park and then we would go eat. OK, fine. So we drive down the road the park is on, we pass the bay and few other parks. By this time I am starving!! Anyone that knows me knows I get mean,angry, well let's face I get downright bitchy when I get really hungry. I start complaining about being hungry. He says that its not much farther to the park he wants to go to. So we finally get to the park and the main parking lot is closed. Grrrr.... We can park down the road and walk but by that point I wasn't about to do that. If only I had known... We go back to his parent's house and get something to eat. We head outside afterwards to have a smoke. So we finish and he grabs me and pulls me in for a hug and says I love you. Hmm I thought it was kinda odd but I say I love you back and leaned back to look at him. When I did there was immediately his hand with a little box between us. I'm thinking OMG, is this the box I've been waiting for. He opens the box and there it is, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I've been waiting all my life for this moment and the first thing that comes out of my mouth is "Seriously?" He says yes and my answer again is "Seriously?" I was so shocked I really couldn't say anything. He finally asked if that meant yes. I told him that he didn't even ask anything and he was suppose to be on one knee doing it lol. (Only I would say that.) So he officially asked me and of course I said yes. I don't think that I have ever been that happy in my whole life.
